Dele Alli completes Everton deadline day transfer from Spurs

Everton have announced the signing of Dele Alli from Tottenham Hotspur on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The midfielder has completed a permanent switch to Goodison Park after the Blues made a deadline day swoop to bolster their options in the centre of the pitch.

The 25-year-old has now moved to Everton with fee details yet to be confirmed.

On joining the Blues, Alli said: “I’m delighted to have signed for Everton, a huge club with a great fanbase and history.

“I'm eager to get started and can't wait for my first game in an Everton shirt.

“I’m looking forward to helping the team and the opportunity to work with the new manager Frank Lampard."

Alli becomes the club's fifth signing of the January transfer window and the second of deadline day, following the loan arrival of Donny van de Beek a few hours previously.

Permanent deals for Vitalii Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson, as well as a temporary swoop for Anwar El Ghazi, had already been completed by the Blues heading into the final day of the window.

Everton's latest signing is cup tied ahead of his side's next match, at home to Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

But he will be eligible when the Blues travel to face Newcastle United on February 8th.
