Delays expected on A90 between Perth and Dundee due to road resurfacing works

A small section of the A90 near Inchture will undergo lane closures this week to allow road resurfacing works to take place.

Amey is undertaking the essential maintenance, costing more than £438,000, on the southbound carriageway between 580 metres east of Moncur Castle and Inchture from Thursday, January 26 to Monday, January 30.

The resurfacing project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on the road surface.

The surfacing works, which will begin at 7.30pm on Friday, January 27 and are scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Monday, January 30, will improve safety for more than 14,700 vehicles that use this route every day.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the works will be undertaken using a contraflow system.

During the contraflow the southbound off slip road at the B953 will be closed.

Southbound traffic wishing to leave the A90 will continue to Inchmichael and turn to take the northbound carriageway and leave at the B953 for Inchture.

There will be a lane closure at the southbound on slip road for safety reasons.

Both northbound slip roads will remain open during the contraflow.

There will be lane closures from 7.30pm on Thursday, January 26 to 7.30pm on Friday, January 27 and again during the day on Monday, January 30 to set up and stand down the contraflow.
