PATNA: Taking suo motu cognizance of the peril that a girl student had to undergo while waiting for her original Matric certificate for the last six years, the Patna high court on Thursday slapped a cost of Rs 5 lakh on Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
A single bench of Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, while hearing the writ petition of the student, imposed the exemplary cost on the board to be payable as compensation to the petitioner for the loss of her six valuable years.
