Deion Sanders may have been bamboozled into a Twitter rant about Shedeur Sanders by a troll account

At this point, it’s safe to say that Twitter — er, well, uh, let’s call it X from here on out — is just a cesspool that exists to make you angry.

People intentionally traffic rage bait on the platform. They build accounts specifically to trick people into reacting to things that don’t happen. It’s annoying, but it is what it is.

Deion Sanders may have taken the bait, folks.

Colorado’s head coach blew up on X on Monday. Not at anyone in particular or about anything specifically — at least, not anything we knew about. Buddy was just mad online, which is what you never ever ever ever want to be.

He posted this:

Now, the natural reaction here is to wonder what on earth this could be a reaction to. Do a little digging in the replies, and it seems like Sanders may have been responding to this tweet here from one Wes Steinberg saying that Shedeur doesn’t want to play for the Browns or Titans and would rather go to a big market.

The thing is, though, Wes Steinberg isn’t actually a real reporter. That’s a troll. And if it got Sanders to react here? That’s a pretty good troll.

He could easily be reacting to something else — another report he read elsewhere or something he simply heard through the grapevine. We don’t really know.

This tweet from Deion Sanders Jr. seems to confirm that it is, indeed, the Steinberg tweet that Coach Prime is reacting to.

That’s objectively hilarious and sad at the same time. You really can’t trust anything on the internet these days.

Delete Twitter, folks. Your lives will be better for it.
