'Defenceless' dog found tied to RSPCA gates

RSPCA

Animal rescuers from RSPCA Wirral have appealed for information after finding a helpless dog tied to the gates of their Wallasey kennels.

The black male Staffordshire bull terrier was found yesterday, April 6, attached to the gate by a blue lead and harness. The charity has now asked for anyone who knows who the dog belongs to to come forward.

The discovery of the dog sparked a fierce debate on RSPCA Wirral's Facebook page, as many tried to make sense of why the dog may have been abandoned.
