Declan Welsh and The Decadent West wanted to challenge Jarvis Cocker and George Ezra to a game of ping pong backstage.
He said: “I’d love to have a jamming session backstage with Jarvis cocker but it’s more chilled out than that.”
His bandmate added: “There’s a ping pong table so we could destroy some celebrities with ping pong but that’s about it.”
“I could destroy George Ezra. He has no idea what’s coming for him.”
Declan also revealed he gets scared to approach other artists at festivals.
He said: “We can’t make a beeline for people. My anxiety kicks in. I’ll probably try and speak to Jarvis Cocker because he is one of my heroes.“
He added: “Without Jarvis Cocker I wouldn’t be able to make the music I make. I’m very humbled to be playing the same stage. I’ll probably try and make myself even though I get in my own head about it. I have a baying crowd of hyenas waiting to cackle at me.”
"My other hero is Billy Bragg and I’ve got his lyrics tattooed on my arm.”
"This is someone who is a big deal to me and it took me the whole weekend of playing Glastonbury to speak to him.”
