Danny Mills believes Manchester United target Declan Rice should turn down advances from Old Trafford and wait for Champions League football.
United are outside the top four, behind Arsenal and Tottenham, with the Europa League looking like the competition they're destined for next season. United need remarkable late-season collapses from the north London duo to stand any chance of Champions League qualification.
The Reds are set for a busy summer in the context of the transfer window with Erik ten Hag entering the fray as their next permanent manager. Rice has been frequently linked with a move to Old Trafford, and United have had a long-standing interest in the player, though West Ham have slapped a £150million price on their skipper's head.

But Mills believes Rice should ignore overtures from elsewhere and extend his contract at the London Stadium. He told Football Insider : "It might be about the Champions League.
"If West Ham get in the Champions League he might want to stay another season If his only other option is Man United and they are not in the Champions League, why wouldn’t you wait?
"Captain West Ham, get a deal that means you have a big bonus to stay and an agreement to sell at the end of that. I think a lot of that will depend on Champions League football and who is in it."
