Roy Keane may be worried that further spending this month risks upsetting the current squad but that won’t stop Edu and Mikel Arteta doing their best to strengthen Arsenal’s hand ahead of the Premier League run-in.
Speaking after the Gunners’ thrilling win over Manchester United at the weekend, the Sky Sports pundit questioned whether additional signings were necessary and warned that they may disrupt the spirit and togetherness that had sent Arsenal five points clear at the summit.
He said: "If you have a good group - obviously Arsenal have always produced good young players - just be careful if you're looking outside, go happy with the group, look what they have achieved so far. Be careful that you [may] bring a player in that just upsets everything."

Belgian attacker Leandro Trossard and Polish defender Jakub Kiwior have already made the move to the Emirates this month but still names continue to be linked with the Gunners.
Football.london has picked out six of those and we want to know your thoughts via our new Swerve or Swoop tool.
The most high profile of the six is Declan Rice, with reports today suggesting the West Ham midfielder has “agreed” to join Arsenal having given “his word”.
The England international has been courted by Europe’s leading lights so landing him would be something of a coup for the Gunners and is perhaps the easiest of six potential signings in our Swerve or Swoop tool to assess.
Rice’s arrival would most likely be in the summer so does that mean Weston McKennie, who is available due to Juve’s money problems and Youri Tielemans who is out of contract at Leicester in the summer, should be swerved? Or might a move for one or both of them in this window make financial sense?
Another player who will become a free agent in the summer is Wilfried Zaha. Crystal Palace’s mercurial Ivory Coast international limped off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury at the weekend but is certain to have a host of suitors in the summer. Should Arsenal be one of them or would they be better off targeting the much younger Nicolo Zaniolo at Roma?
And with Arsenal reportedly having been given a 24-48 hour deadline in which to make a decision on signing Real Valladolid youngster Ivan Fresneda, do you believe a swoop for the 18-year-old right-back is the right thing?
Or as Roy Keane believes, should Arsenal swerve them all?
