We are now well into the transfer window and after just over a week Arsenal have stepped up their pursuits for a number of targets and even agreed to a deal to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea already. Mikel Arteta is intent on getting the business done as soon as possible.
The pursuit for Declan Rice continues, and after two rejected bids a third is expected very soon. Meanwhile, talks with Ajax continue for Jurrien Timber as Edu Gaspar pushes to get three marquee players signed up before the start of preseason.
There’s scope for potentially more business too with Romeo Lavia in the frame, although there is talk of competition increasing for the Belgian international. Arsenal also have the conundrum of working out how to deal with Folarin Balogun after his excellent loan spell.
