Declan Donnelly's brother, Father Dermott Donnelly, is said to be 'extremely unwell' in hospital.
Prayers are being held for him and the Catholic community have been sending him well wishes after he was admitted to the hospital.
Pontop Partnership, a partnership of ten Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, took to Facebook to release a statement on the sad news.
As reported by Chronicle Live, they posted: "Please pray for Fr. Dermott Donnelly who is seriously ill in hospital."
Mirror have contacted Declan's representatives for comment.

Dec is one of seven children, and was raised on Newcastle's Cruddas Park estate with three brothers - Martin, Eamonn and Dermott - and three sisters - Camelia, Patricia and Moira.
Father Dermott took Holy Orders in 1992 in the same cathedral he officiated at his brother's wedding.
He started out as a curate in Chester-le-Street until, a couple of years later, he was asked by the Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle to set up a youth outreach programme aimed at introducing disadvantaged youngsters to the Catholic Church.
He even transformed the Youth Ministry Team, and in 2010, with the help of none other than his brother and Dec's pal Ant McPartlin, he launched the Global Youth Village Centre.
"I don’t advertise that I’m Dec’s brother, but the kids always seem to know. It bridges the gap between me and them," Dermott previously said.
