Declan Donnelly announced the birth of his second child from Ant and Dec's joint Twitter account. Announcing the birth, Dec said: "Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light. He is wonderful and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister!"
Fans rushed to congratulate the presenter on the news. One said: "Amazing! Congratulations to you all, love the name. I bet Ant is well excited to be in the name!". While another wrote: "Some great news Dec. I know your brother will be watching over. So happy for you both."
With the Tweet of the announcement of his son's birth, Dec included a photo of his newborn's tiny hand holding his finger.

The news comes just two weeks after the news of the sudden death of the presenter's brother. Dec's brother Dermott died aged just 55 on July 8 . Catholic priest Father Dermott was admitted to hospital after a serious illness.
Dec is said to have raced to his brother's side after he fell seriously ill. Dermott, who officiated the TV star's wedding, is understood to have been rushed to University Hospital of North Durham with a suspected bleed on the brain after he collapsed.
