Dame Deborah James ' family announced the heart breaking news of her death on Tuesday after she spent her last few weeks living her life to the fullest.

She lost her battle to stage 4 bowel cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in 2016.

In the weeks before her death, the campaigner made sure to enjoy everything life has to offer.
