Debby Brings Record Rainfall To Southeastern States

Recent observations from the National Weather Service reveal that rainfall totals from Tropical Storm Debby have surpassed a foot in three states - Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. The period from 8 am Saturday, August 3 through 10 am Wednesday, August 7 saw some of the highest rainfall totals recorded.

As Debby slowly progresses north in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Charleston, heavy rain continues to impact the Southeast coast. This persistent rainfall has led to flood warnings being issued for portions of eastern Georgia, eastern South Carolina, and eastern North Carolina.
