The death toll from Hurricane Milton has tragically climbed to at least 16, with the latest fatality reported in Orange County, Florida. A man in his 60s lost his life on Thursday after accidentally stepping on a downed power line while clearing debris left by the destructive storm.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at the man's residence in the 6600 block of Pine Island Place, located north of downtown Orlando. Upon arrival just before 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, deputies found the man unresponsive. Despite their efforts, the man could not be revived.
