The ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza has resulted in a devastating death toll, with nearly 30,000 people losing their lives since the attacks on October 7th. Gaza's Ministry of Health reports that at least 86 Palestinians were killed in Israeli military operations over the weekend, although the figures do not differentiate between combatants and civilians.
New video footage has emerged showing the aftermath of these operations, depicting a once thriving neighborhood in Gaza City now reduced to rubble. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the deaths of two soldiers during the fighting on Saturday, bringing the total number of Israeli troops killed in Gaza to 239.
In a tragic development, the IDF has also announced the death of another Israeli hostage. 19-year-old soldier Os Daniel was killed on October 7th when Hamas launched an attack on Israel, and his body was taken into Gaza. Daniel, who was previously listed among the hostages believed to be alive, has been posthumously promoted from corporal to sergeant by the IDF.
This latest casualty brings the total number of deceased hostages to 30, underscoring the human cost of the ongoing conflict in the region.
