KOLKATA: Death bowling continued to haunt Bengal as they faltered in the last two overs to go down to Maharashtra by three wickets in a Group E Vijay Hazare Trophy (50-over) match at the JSCA cricket stadium in Ranchi on Tuesday.
In the Syed Mushtaq Ali (T20) meet last month, Bengal were ousted by Himachal Pradesh after pacer Mukesh Kumar could not defend 17 runs in the last over. On Tuesday, Maharashtra needed 29 runs in the last two overs with four wickets in hand.
