'Dearly loved' Liverpool FC fan dies in crash which killed two others

The family of a Liverpool FC fan have issued a tribute to their "dearly loved son" who died following a crash.

Elliot Pullen, 17, Ethan Goddard, 18, and Daniel Hancock, 18, all died in the crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning, which left another teen fighting for his life. The silver BMW the teenagers were travelling in crashed into a tree at around 12.10am on the A415 in Marcham.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old man from Oxfordshire, suffered life-threatening injuries. Elliot's family issued a tribute in his memory, describing him as "gorgeous, bright and talented".

In a statement, the 17-year-old's family said Liverpool FC was a great passion of his. He was also planning on celebrating his upcoming 18th birthday celebrations.

They said: "Elliot was our gorgeous, bright and talented son, a dearly loved brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He had many passions including football, especially Liverpool FC, learning to drive with his dad, riding motorbikes, eating out, attending live events and spending time with his friends, who were so important to him.

"Elliot was adored by his younger cousins who loved nothing more than to demand his attention, despite his intention of remaining a super cool teenager. He had a gorgeous smile, a cheeky glint in his eye, he was always well dressed, and it appeared, had a different hairstyle every few weeks.

"He was nearing the end of his IT apprenticeship qualification and had been working with a wonderful local company for nearly two years, who welcomed him into their family, and described him as ‘a bright, talented and well-liked team member, with an amazing career ahead of him.’ They added ‘he was adored and admired by his colleagues and will be greatly missed.’

"Elliot lived his life to the full and he was planning his upcoming 18th birthday celebrations and should have had an amazingly bright future ahead of him, a life of adventures and seeing the world. It has now been cut short by this awful tragedy, leaving behind a shattered family who will miss Elliot beyond words.

"We need time as a family to process the devastation to all our lives and ask that people are respectful of this at a truly heartbreaking time."

Sergeant Matt Cadmore of the Joint Roads Policing Unit at Three Mile Cross, said: “This is an extremely tragic incident which has resulted in the death of three young men. Our thoughts remain with their families and friends at this extremely difficult time.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have dash cam footage prior to the collision and who has not already spoke to Police to contact us. If you have any information then please call 101 or make a report online quoting incident 43230270542.”
