DeAndre Hopkins injury update: Latest news on Chiefs WR’s status

The Kansas City Chiefs listed veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on their Week 11 injury report on Wednesday. Hopkins has a knee injury, but it should not keep him out of his role as a starting wide receiver in the Chiefs’ offense when Kansas City faces off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 17.

DeAndre Hopkins injury update

Hopkins was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice session despite his knee injury. This is the first time that he has been listed on the Chiefs’ injury report since Kansas City traded for him in October.

How long will DeAndre Hopkins be out?

Since Hopkins was a full participant in practice today, he is expected to be available in Week 11 against the Bills.

Chiefs WR depth chart

Hopkins is expected to maintain his role as a starting wide receiver in Andy Reid’s offense. Rookie wideout Xavier Worthy will continue to see plenty of action regardless of Hopkins’ condition, and veteran pass-catcher JuJu Smith-Schuster may be able to get back on the field this week after returning to practice on Wednesday.

Additionally, the Chiefs can rely on Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson.
