Nottingham Forest are "preparing to make a €10m offer" for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, it is claimed.
Steve Cooper's side are in search of a new keeper after Keylor Navas and Dean Henderson's loan spells at the club came to an end. The Reds are in talks to sign the latter on a permanent deal from Manchester United but Cakir has emerged as an alternative.
The 27-year-old played 44 times for his club side last season as they finished sixth in the Turkish Super Lig.
And according to claims in Cum Hurriyet, via SportWitness, the Reds have their eyes set on the Turkish shot-stopper. It is claimed that Cakir is the keeper they are targeting with Roma and Saudi Arabian team Al Taawoun also interested.

It appears unlikely that Forest would choose to sign Cakir over Henderson at this stage. The Man United keeper impressed during his time at the City Ground last season having made vital saves for the Reds earlier in the campaign before picking up a season-ending injury in January.
His performances in a Forest shirt earned the Reds numerous points at various points throughout the 2022/23 campaign. In comparison, Cakir is relatively unproven at this level.
Henderson's influence in the dressing room is also a positive with Reds boss Steve Cooper previously speaking about how he enjoyed working with him. “We’ve all enjoyed working with Dean, the personality that he is,” he said shortly after his injury.
“He’s a good professional; really cares. He has a fantastic mentality towards winning and we’re grateful for what he has given us.”
