Deal reportedly ‘done’ for Patriots’ rival landing legendary QB

The deal that would send legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets is reportedly done.

This was first reported by NFL insider Trey Wingo.

Rodgers has spent his entire career with the Packers, whom he was drafted by in 2005. He is coming off a 2022 season that saw him throw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

He has accumulated several accolades throughout the course of his career, including winning a Super Bowl in 2011. He has been a four-time NFL MVP and a 10-time Pro Bowler. He has consistently been in the conversation as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

This move would invigorate the Jets’ quarterback room, which was in flux last season after the poor play of Zack Wilson. Rodgers would join a Jets offense that includes the likes of Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis, and Elijah Moore

This news comes a day after the Miami Dolphins acquired Los Angeles Rams’ standout cornerback Jalen Ramsey, as the star shift to the AFC East continues.

One has to wonder what moves New England will make to combat the influx of talent within the division. The AFC East is going to be a fight to the finish, whether New England is ready for it or not.
