Deadpool director Shawn Levy has said Ryan Reynolds is too obsessed with Wales and his football team, Wrexham AFC, to film the next movie. The Stranger Things producer spoke about the actor's love for "all of Wales" during an interview on the Emmys 2022 red carpet.

The Hollywood star, along with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, purchased Wrexham AFC in 2021. The pair have since documented the takeover of the National League club in a Disney+ documentary. You can read our review of Welcome to Wrexham here.

In the new series, the pair set out a vision to lift one of Welsh football's most famous clubs back onto its feet, but Shawn has joked that Ryan's obsession with it is "becoming problematic".
