State-level inter-collegiate basketball
Theni: The third State-level inter-collegiate basketball tournament for men and women, organised by the L.S. Mills Basketball Club, will be held at the N.S. Boys HSS courts from April 13 to 16.
The tournament features 12 men’s team and, the prominent among them are MCC, Sathyabama, SRM University, Jeppiar IT and Hindustan University (Chennai), PSGCAS (Coimbatore) and St. Joseph’s, Jamal Mohammed & Bishop Heber (Tiruchi).
The women’s section comprises eight teams of which seven are from Chennai.
The top four in both section will take home a cash purse of Rs. 25,000, 20,000, 15,000 & 10,000 respectively.

Udhagamandalam: G. Mithun Raja scored a fine 101 (13x4, 4x6) in Blossom’s 166-run win over the Yankees in the NDCA second division league at the Gandhi Maidan grounds in Kotagiri on Monday.
