Deadly Israeli Strikes Kill Dozens In Southern Gaza

Smoke rises over Gaza, as seen from Israel's border with Gaza, in southern Israel

Recent overnight strikes in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, have resulted in a tragic loss of life. Emergency response officials have reported that at least 26 Palestinians were killed in the attacks.

The Gaza Civil Defense confirmed that fourteen bodies were recovered from the Al-Farra family home after it was hit by an Israeli missile in the Al-Manara area. Additionally, video footage from the European Hospital showed a distressing scene of numerous bodies, including children, being brought in from the strike site.

Tragically, six members of the Abdeen family lost their lives due to Israeli strikes on their homes in Al-Manara and Kizan al-Najar areas. The strikes also targeted tents housing displaced Palestinians, resulting in further casualties.

Medical officials at the Nasser Medical Complex reported that three people were killed and 20 others, mostly children, were wounded by Israeli artillery shelling southeast of Khan Younis. In a separate incident, three individuals were killed and several others injured in a missile strike on a tent camp southwest of the city.

The Israeli military has stated that combat operations in the southern Gaza Strip have continued both from the air and ground. The ongoing violence has led to a devastating toll on civilians in the region.
