The Civil Defense in Gaza has confirmed the recovery of eight bodies from the wreckage of a civilian vehicle following an airstrike on Friday. Among the victims were at least five children, as reported by Al-Ahli Hospital where the deceased and injured were taken for treatment.
According to the media office of the Hamas-run government, a local police officer named Ahmed El-Batsh and his family were killed when their vehicle was targeted near the al-Shuja’ya neighborhood. The attack also resulted in the deaths of several bystanders on a busy road in Gaza.
Survivors of the strike described the harrowing experience, with Dr. Mostafa Saidam likening the scene to 'judgment day.' He recounted the chaos and panic that ensued as the missile struck while people were sleeping, leading to screams and confusion.
