Amazon Prime Video Australia's popular comic murder mystery drama, 'Deadloch,' has commenced production on its highly anticipated second season. The series, which garnered significant acclaim in its debut season, is shifting its setting from Tasmania to the Northern Territory, promising viewers a fresh and intriguing backdrop for the upcoming episodes.

The renewal of 'Deadloch' for a second season was confirmed by Amazon in June, generating excitement among fans of the show. The latest details released by the streaming platform include a first look image and casting updates for the upcoming season.

In the new season, lead characters Detective Eddie Redcliffe and Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins, portrayed by Madeleine Sami and Kate Box respectively, venture to Darwin to investigate the mysterious death of Eddie's former policing partner, Bushy. However, their investigation takes an unexpected turn when they uncover the body of a local icon in a remote town nestled in crocodile country.

Returning for the second season are familiar faces such as Abby, played by Nina Oyama, and Dulcie's wife Cath, portrayed by Alicia Gardiner. The new location brings a host of fresh characters to the series, with a talented ensemble cast including Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Genevieve Morris, and many others.
