Slain serial killer Robbie Lawlor has been named in court as the man who is suspected to have pulled the trigger on mob boss Owen Maguire.
Dubliner Lawlor is also the chief suspect in the gruesome murder of teen Keane Mulready-Woods from Drogheda, Co Louth. Owen Maguire – whose associates are involved in a deadly feud with their rival anti-Maguire faction in Co Louth – has been left paralysed as a result of being shot a number of times in Drogheda in 2018.
In an affidavit, which forms part of the Criminal Assets Bureau’s case against Maguire, 38, and his brother Brendan, a senior member of An Garda Siochana said: “It is believed that Robbie Lawlor was the person who shot Owen Maguire.”

Brendan was also the victim of an attempted murder in February 2019. The 43-year-old had left a gym in Drogheda when a gunman fired at him.
Brendan was struck in the upper body and arms and survived. Gardai believe members of the anti-Maguire faction carried out that shooting.
The affidavit continued: “Mr Lawlor was an associate of the leading member of a rival drugs gang operating in the Drogheda and wider area.”
Lawlor was shot dead in Belfast in April 2020.
