The head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has accused high-ranking Mexican government officials of working directly with two of the country's most powerful drug cartels, repeating allegations that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has rejected.
DEA Administrator Terrance "Terry" Cole said in an interview with Univision N+ that a recently disclosed indictment showed "government corruption in Mexico, with high-level officials collaborating directly with the cartels."
