De Baga review: Stunning new Leeds restaurant impresses with sublime Goan dishes

After enjoying success with their Headingley restaurant the De Baga team has opened a second venue in Chapel Allerton. The Goan restaurant is located smack bang in the centre of the trendy Leeds suburb on Stainbeck Lane.

The venue has seen an impressive overhaul, there’s a tropical theme to the decorations, lighting and music pumping through the venue. This feels inline with the Goan cuisine as when you sit down and gaze over the menu, you can’t help but be reminded of those distant sandy leafy beaches.

There’s fountains in the venue, cascading with water, columns covered with artificial leaves, ambient lighting scattered across the dining area and exotic music playing at a tasteful volume. These elements all came together to create a relaxed sociable atmosphere.
