Dawson's Creek's James Van Der Beek 'thanks god for surprises' after welcoming sixth child

James Van Der Beek Remi Instagram

James Van Der Beek has revealed that his sixth child came as a surprise as he and wife Kimberly Brook weren't trying for any more kids.

The Dawson's Creek star, 45, welcomed child number six with his second wife in November, with the pair already proud parents of Olivia, 11, Joshua, 10, Annabel, 8, Emilia, 6, and three-year-old Gwendolyn.

And despite not planning to have a sixth child, the actor has thanked god for blessing the couple with baby Remi.
