BBC icon Dawn French has undergone such a drastic image transformation, it's made fans 'spit their coffee out'. The 65-year old has become a National treasure over the years thanks to roles in shows such as The Vicar of Dibley, French and Saunders and the Harry Potter films.
But fans are having to double-take the seasoned TV star after she unveiled a drastic image transformation. Posting on Instagram, Dawn French shared a photograph of herself alongside BBC Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman.
In the picture, Dawn looked very different, and instead of looking like her usual self, she looked suspiciously like pal Claudia. Dawn could be seen with bangs and pale lips - a look synonymous with Claudia.

Captioning the post, Dawn wrote: “Coming soon…#traitors #comicrelief." Text on the photo was placed over the real Claudia Winkleman, which read: 'Claudia Winkle', while the words 'Also Claudia Winkle' were placed over Dawn French.

The 65-year-old posted the hilarious selfie of herself and Claudia Winkleman ahead of the return of popular BBC show The Traitors. The first series of the show had Britain hooked, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the second series.
But a special edition of The Traitors is set to air on BBC on March 17 for Comic Relief, and it will feature a star-studded cast. Host Claudia Winkleman will star alongside ex-Great British Bake Off host Mary Berry, as well as Dawn French.
The BBC has said that Dawn French will be reunited with longstanding comedy partner Jennifer Sanders for the special Comic Relief sketch. Speaking about the Comic Relief show, Director Richard Curtis, who founded Comic Relief with Lenny Henry in 1985, said: “I’m unbelievably excited about this sketch. The Traitors is the most brilliant reality show of all time, and I hope that we can mercilessly tear it apart.
"There's a very impressive group of actors who gathered together to destroy the reputation of Claudia Winkleman and the BBC in aid of Comic Relief.."
The Traitors Comic Relief sketch airs on the BBC on March 17.
