DAVV gets green signal to start five new courses

INDORE: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has received approval for MBA in Public Health, Diploma in Pharmacy, BSc in Agriculture, MSc in Logistics, and Master of Sports Psychology. The varsity will be rolling out these courses.

These courses have been approved by the executive council and the syllabus of these course will be prepared in the month of September-October, media spokesperson of DAVV, Dr Chandan Gupta told TOI.

The varsity hasn’t yet decided over the seats for the course. But, according to officials, minimum 30 to maximum 60 seats will be kept for each. Although, DAVV doesn’t have a department of Agriculture. However, the varsity is contemplating to begin a new University Teaching Department of Agriculture.As per the DAVV officials, the framework for creating the department is being prepared which will also include recruitment of faculty members for the department and in the three years, the varsity will have a department of agriculture.

All these courses will start in the academic session 2023-24.

After a span of ten years, a new course has been introduced in the School of Pharmacy.

There can be around 30 seats in Diploma of Pharmacy. MBA Public Health will be of IMS. Moreover, MSc course will start from the Department of Data Science.

With the increasing demand for Data Science subject, the varsity has prepared the syllabus of MSc. Initially 30 seats will be allocated in it. There is a degree course in Logistics, in which experts from the industry will be called and students will be informed about the details related to Logistics. The Diploma in Logistics course will be coordinated by Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDU-KK).
