David Walliams says Simon Cowell is 'one of the most annoying people' he's worked with

David Walliams has teased that Simon Cowell is "one of the most annoying people" he has ever co-starred with.

The comedian, 50, has worked with the record executive, 62, on Britain's Got Talent for a decade, with the former having joined the popular ITV talent show in 2012.

The pair - who return as judges for the new series - often mock each other, including recently over Walliams' short-lived marriage and Cowell's ' lack of knowledge.'

And now Walliams has now poked fun at Simob by stating that the music mogul keeps audiences waiting for hours while he has a nap during production of the show.

He made the comments during An Audience With David Walliams and Rob Brydon at the Criterion Theatre earlier this week, T he Sun report.

The outlet claim that Walliams said: "One of of the most annoying people I have ever worked with in my life is Simon Cowell [...] because this man has zero sense of timekeeping whatsoever."

He said that the the X Factor creator "often turns up" around five hours late, adding that he now has a "sleep in the middle of the day" whilst at the theatre for filming.

The Little Britain co-creator suggested that filming is done in two sessions, with the second meant to begin at 8pm. He however said that Cowell "will have a sleep" beforehand.

He further teased that his co-star didn't understand the issue, stating that filming is often "two or three hours late."

Walliams commented: "He'll then be puzzled as to why the audience are leaving at 1.30 am when we're still filming."

The comedian said he has told Cowell that the reason audience members end up leaving is that they don't have "a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce" to take them home.
