David Tennant is returning to TV screens tonight in the brand new BBC drama Inside Man.
The Doctor Who actor plays small town vicar Harry Watling in Steven Moffat's new drama, alongside Stanley Tucci who will star as a death row inmate in the US. Speaking of his character, and how his story fits in with the others', Tennant said: "[It's] very hard to sum up, because there are two separate worlds going side by side."
However, the 51-year-old Scots actor almost didn't get the role, despite being former Doctor Who writers first choice for the role, due to his busy schedule. Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Moffat said: "Once I'd written the first couple, or maybe just the first one, and shown it to Sue [Vertue, producer], we both agreed that it'd be a perfect part for David Tennant, and we know David really well because we hang out with David and Georgia [Tennant] quite often, and obviously I'd worked with him before.
