Former Premier League and West Ham defender Nigel Winterburn has said David Moyes must turn things around and 'galvanise' the squad or risk fans turning.
The Hammers narrowly missed out on a top-six finish last season in the Premier League and reached the UEFA Europa League semi-final, losing to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
But their start to the the 2022/23 league campaign has been far from ideal, with the club losing five of their seven games and occupying one of the three relegation spots heading into the international break.

In Europe, Moyes' side are yet to lose in the UEFA Europe Conference League but that success has not translated to a good start in the league.
And Winterburn, who spent three years in east London with West Ham, has said that he is surprised by the team's disappointing start due to strengthening their squad in the summer transfer window.
“West Ham have bought players in, and I’m surprised at their poor start, but it can happen to teams," he told Paddy Power. "You must get your shape and formation right, but you also have to have that belief.
“When you don’t win games, players lose confidence and it’s so difficult to get it back. David Moyes will need to earn his money now because he’s done a terrific job at West Ham, but he has to galvanise this squad and get them going again. If they get to 10 games in and they’re still struggling, the West Ham fans might get a bit nervy.
“He has done an incredible job, and now he just has to get them moving in the right direction.”
West Ham signed eight players, spending over £160million but find themselves in 18th position and have only won once, beating Aston Villa 1-0.
