West Ham United boss David Moyes has called on winger Said Benrahma to become more clinical after missing big chances in the Hammers’ 1-0 win over Anderlecht in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
Gianluca Scamacca’s goal as a second half substitute at Lotto Park was enough to put the Irons five points clear at the top of Group B heading into a repeat meeting with Anderlecht at the London Stadium in a week’s time.
However, the game could have been wrapped up earlier on, with the Hammers having some big chances in the game, none bigger then when Jarrod Bowen teed up Benrahma towards the end of the first half, only for the former Brentford winger to fire over from close range when it seemed easier to score.

Speaking on the Algerian, Moyes said he is a player that the club rates, but in order to get more minutes, he has to become better at converting big chances.
“We like him a lot, we think a lot of him. We’re pushing him and we’re working him to continue hitting the target," said Moyes.
“We see some things which we think he should be doing more, he should be hitting the target more often, he’s missing the goal too often. Tonight was a typical example.
“If he wants to really be competitive, he can be. Can he play at this level? 100 per cent he can play here and he can be an impact player, he can make an influence in the games. When you get those opportunities, you need to take them.”
