David Moyes believes Pablo Fornals is close to getting back to his best after a recent dip in form.
The Spaniard was one of West Ham's most used players until a positive Covid test ruled him out of two matches over the festive period and has been struggling for goals of late.
Fornals has scored five and assisted three goals in 22 Premier League matches this season but has only found the back of the next once in his past 16 matches in all competitions.
"I've got to say I think Pablo is starting to show signs of improving slightly. He made the goal at Kidderminster with a pass for Declan Rice, I thought the other night he was more influential in bits of the game, especially later on," Moyes said.
"I think Pablo has had a bit of a dip from when he came back in November from the international break. I just hope that he is just starting to show small signs of improvements, but in terms of goals yes [we need more], it is a big thing and we need all of our attacking players to chip in and it would if Pablo could come up with a few goals for us."
Fornals is likely to start for the Hammers on Sunday afternoon however there is a doubt over Arthur Masuaku's availability with the DR Congo international suffering from a knee injury.
"We were not sure whether he was going to need an operation. We're going to see if we can get through with an injection at the moment and see how it goes," Moyes said.
"He's got a bit of floating bone in his knee which we're managing so we'll have to find out how he goes in the coming weeks and how he is."
