West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed defender Ben Johnson will miss the trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
Johnson missed Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium through a hamstring injury after being forced off against Aston Villa last weekend.
Hammers boss Moyes has confirmed that Johnson will miss the club’s second London derby in less than 72 hours. He has said that striker Gianluca Scamacca (virus) and left-back Aaron Cresswell (groin) are doubts for the game, with Scamacca missing most of training this week and Cresswell being taken off for the final 20 minutes against Spurs on Wednesday.

“Ben Johnson is not available and we’re still waiting to see how Gianluca [Scamacca] is and we’re still waiting to see how Aaron Cresswell is,” said Moyes. “It will be sort of late decisions on both of them.”
West Ham will also be without centre-back Nayef Aguerd, who is set to miss the majority of the first half of the season prior to the World Cup after undergoing ankle surgery in July.
Midfielder Lucas Paqueta, who made his debut off the bench against Spurs, will be hoping to make his full debut on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
