West Ham United manager David Moyes admits he is unsure how long midfielder Lucas Paqueta will be absent for after missing the Hammers’ 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Paqueta was not in the Irons’ squad at Anfield for their defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side where Jarrod Bowen missed a first half of the game after Darwin Nunez’s deciding goal earlier in the half.
Asked about the severity of the injury, Moyes was tight-lipped, saying he did not know how long Paqueta would be out for.

“I can’t give you a time but he’s got a bit of a shoulder injury,” said Moyes when asked how long Paqueta would be out for.
The injury comes just a month before Paqueta is due to be with the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with the absence coming at a concerning time of the season.
Moyes did not confirm or deny how long Paqueta would be out for, not giving away whether or not he will be back in time for next month’s tournament in Qatar.
“I just said, I’ve got no time [frame] so I’ve got nothing to give you on that,” replied Moyes.
However, after the game, Paqueta posted on Instagram that he is set to return to training in two weeks.
