West Ham United boss David Moyes has admitted he is considering handing full Premier League debuts summer signings Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The new arrival duo, who joined the Hammers from Sassuolo and Burnley respectively for a combined £48million both made their second starts for the club during the Hammers’ 3-0 win over Danish side Viborg on Thursday night to book a place in the group stages of the Europa Conference League.
In that win, Scamacca opened the scoring before heading to Cornet, who set up Said Benrahma’s second goal in the tie, with Scamacca and Cornet combining for the opening goal in the 3-1 first-leg win over the same side at the London Stadium eight days ago.

Asked about whether or not Scamacca and Cornet are ready to start in the Hammers’ fourth Premier League game of the season at Villa Park on Sunday, the Scottish boss said while they are not necessarily ready for a full 90 minutes in the Premier League, both are being considered for a first league start.
“I think they ready,” Moyes told football.london. “If you said to me, ‘do I think they are ready to play 90 minutes in the Premier League,’ they might not be ready to play that but they are certainly ready to play good parts of it. They are right in my thoughts, yes.”
Another player who could make his debut for the Irons is new left-back Emerson, who joined from Chelsea for £13m on Tuesday. He missed the second leg win in Viborg on Thursday due to being ineligible for the tie.
