David Moyes believes as West Ham United captain Declan Rice continues to develop, he will become a 'proper No. 6'.
The Hammers skipper continues to come on leap and bounds at the heart of this current iteration of Moyes' team, being handed the armband at the start of the season following the retirement of Mark Noble as well as refining his own playing style.
Still only 24, Rice has added goals to his game, evidenced by his strike in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend, and his displays have only increased the interest in him from top clubs in England.

As it stands, Rice is often seen playing a box-to-box role or a deep-lying midfield role depending on the opposition said Moyes.
But the Scot does admit that as he gets older, Rice is likely to be used as a traditional 'six' and when asked why the midfielder doesn't score more, Moyes says that's a question not only for him but also the England manager Gareth Southgate.
"You might ask Gareth Southgate the same questions. Why does he not score more goals for England? As his future goes on Dec will probably be someone who plays deeper rather than higher up the pitch.
"I would say while he is youthful he can do it because he has the energy and the ability, and he is still very young, but as his career progresses he may become a proper No 6. We play him in different roles depending on who we are playing, and that’s the way he plays for England as well."
