David Moyes confirms West Ham injury blow for Anderlecht clash as teenager travels to Belgium

David Moyes West Ham Anderlecht Belgium Europa Conference League Maxwel Cornet Hammers Group B West Ham United Regan Clayton

West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed that winger Maxwel Cornet will miss the Europa Conference League clash on Thursday night against Anderlecht in Belgium.

The Hammers will be looking to make it three wins from three in Group B when they face Anderlecht and going into the clash at Lotto Park. Cornet, who made his full Premier League debut for the club against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, was forced off in the first half of the 2-0 win with a calf issue.

Moyes has revealed that Cornet has not linked up with the squad in Belgium but is hopeful that the former Burnley man’s lay-off is not a serious one.
