West Ham United boss David Moyes believes that the club are currently in the midst of “quite a big transition” in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have already spent around £110million on six new signings, with Alphonse Areola (permanently), Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet and Thilo Kehrer all coming into the club so far this summer.
However, none of the sextet of incomings are yet to feature from the off in either of the club’s two Premier League games so far, although the Europa Conference League play-off qualifying first leg victory over Viborg on Thursday night did see Areola (second debut), Cornet and Scamacca all win their first starts for the club. Kehrer and Downes come on in the second half, with Kehrer signing little over 24 hours before kick-off and Downes struggling with a minor toe injury, while Aguerd remains sidelined for what is expected to be another two months.
