David Martindale fumes over Celtic goals as he reels off ref complaints and claims Tom Rogic 'caught the ball'

David Martindale has queried two of Celtic's three goals in a comfortable 3-1 Hoops win against his Livingston side.

The Lions succumbed to their first defeat at home to Celtic in 15 years courtesy of away goals from Daizen Maeda, a Nicky Devlin own goal and James Forrest's strike after half-time.

There was controversy surrounding Ange Postecoglou 's side's opener. Replays show the corner which led to the goal was awarded incorrectly after the ball came off Anthony Ralston last.

Livi's Jason Holt had touched the ball after it had gone out of play. Straight after half-time, Martindale alleges that Tom Rogic handled the ball before a cross which was turned into the net by Devlin.

While conceding the Hoops deserved to restore their three-goal lead at the top of the Premiership, Livingston's manager was unhappy with calls by referee Nick Walsh. His side are fifth.

Martindale told Sky Sports: "For the first two goals, I think big referee decisions go against us. Celtic were clinical and it was a top, top performance.

"That was the Celtic we are more accustomed to seeing, but the first two goals give us a mountain to climb. There are two referee decisions which are disappointing.

"The corner before the first goal, the linesman told Nick it was a goal-kick, so we expected that. On the second goal, the ball is out with Greg Taylor on the left.

" Tom Rogic handles it in the middle of the park and catches the ball, nearly. There's maybe two handballs in that and it's quiet an easy decision to make.

"You need the refereeing decisions to go for you and we didn't on the first two goals. Celtic probably deserved the three points but the two refereeing decisions probably don't help us."
