David Goodwillie will NOT play for Raith Rovers as club chairman apologises and admits 'we got it wrong'

Raith Rovers have issued an apology to angry fans over the signing of David Goodwillie - and announced the striker will not play for the club.

Chairman John Sim has admitted "we got it wrong" and revealed talks will take place with the 32-year-old over his contractual position.

Goodwillie was judged to be a rapist in a civil court in 2017, with he and former player David Robertson ordered to pay damages.
