David Beckham says Man Utd team-mates use him to get into London's exclusive restaurants

Manchester United 's legends apparently use David Beckham to get seats at London's most exclusive restaurants, the former England star has revealed.

Beckham is one of the all-time footballing icons, and may forever be the poster boy for the English game. With that fame, comes a certain amount of privileges that us normal lot can only dream of.

But it seems as though Beckham's former team-mates use his fame to their advantage, and his close friends can benefit off the back of it. And Beckham revealed that his old buddies use his name to get into the top restaurants, with even Gary Neville admitting he was guilty.

Neville is Manchester through and through, but he has admitted to spending a lot more time in London than he used to. But according to Beckham, all of his former United team-mates used to hate the capital, until recently.

London has always been loved by Beckham and it's where his children currently go to school. And the former United star revealed on Gary Neville’s The Overlap YouTube channel that his old team-mates are now always in the city and benefitting off his name.

Neville opened up to Beckham about how he used to 'hate' London, and Becks replied: "All of you lot (United team-mates) did, but you're all down there now. 'Can you book me a restaurant'. Butty (Nicky Butt) text me the other day and said 'Becks can you get me a restaurant'."

And the current Sky Sports pundit couldn't help but laugh as he had been rumbled, and revealed: "That is the best thing about having David Beckham (as a friend). You always get a seat in a restaurant. It's unbelievable, the contacts are incredible."

Beckham's fame spreads across the globe, and the fact he played in Spain, Italy, France and the United States has probably helped further his name. The former United star now even owns a football club in Miami, which is managed by Phil Neville.

The Overlap is a YouTube channel from Gary Neville in partnership with Sky Bet.
