David Beckham's simple 'favourite' meal proves controversial

David Beckham has shared one of his favourite meals - and sparked an online debate at the same time. The 47-year-old former England football captain might be worth £400million, but one of his go-tos is gammon, egg and chips

While fans praised his "perfectly acceptable dinner" others spotted something in a photo he posted on Instagram they couldn't agree with, reports the Mirror. He posted with the caption: "Last night's feast, one of my favourites growing up. Thanks mum. Gammon, chips, fried egg, tinned pineapple, peas & baked beans, coleslaw."

But some on the social media platform rebelled against the idea of pineapple finding its way onto the plate.
