David Beckham's mammoth weekly earnings made public as he rakes in millions

David Beckham's works with luxury brands bring in a staggering amount of money and accounts show it's on the up to the tune of £9m in profit.

The ex-footballer signed new contracts in 2021 with the company raking in millions, documents show.

The financial statements and directors' report for 2021 for Beckham Brand Holdings Limited, of which David and wife Victoria are directors, have been made public, and reveal how much money has been made from Beckham's partnerships.

The group overall, which included the management of the " David Beckham business and brand", "investment in the Victoria Beckham global fashion and beauty brand" and "ownership participation" in football club Inter Miami FC, made a profit after tax of £19.1m, up from 11.6m in 2020, with a revenue of £34.3, up from £11.4m.

The David Beckham brand leg of the company made a profit of £19.6m up from 10.6m, with a turnover of £34m, up from £11.4m.

Brand Beckham's annual turnover works out on average at roughly £653,846 hitting the accounts each week throughout 2021.

The report said: “The increase in revenue is as a result of the successful growth strategy to work closely with the group's brand partners in expanding the reach and commercialisation of the David Beckham brand."

The document, available on Companies House, adds that new contracts had been secured during 2021, with a portfolio now including Electronic Arts, Adidas, Tudor, Diageo's Haig Club and Maserati.

The documents said that during 2021 relationships with existing brand partners were "strengthened" and "new contracts signed in the period, widening the group's portfolio of product categories, which now includes Sports, Media and Entertainment, Automobile, Fragrance, Eyewear, Luxury Brands and Financial Services."

The report does not include David's £10m deal to become an ambassador for Qatar ahead of the country hosting the 2022 World Cup.

David, who is revered as a LGBTQ+ icon after modelling for gay lifestyle magazine Attitude in 2002, has come under severe criticism for his decision to accept the deal, due to the country's homosexuality laws.

It even prompted comedian Joe Lycett to fake shredding £10,000 in cash if he did not pull out of the deal.

David remained silent on the issue until his team provided a response to Joe's show Joe Lycett's Got Your Back.

The statement said David has always believed that sport can be a force for good and bring people together.

It added: "We understand that there are different and strongly held views about engagement in the Middle East but see it as positive that debate about the key issues has been stimulated directly by the first World Cup being held in the region.

"We hope that these conversations will lead to greater understanding and empathy towards all people and that progress will be achieved."

However, the response was branded as "insultingly benign, extremely tone deaf and beyond disappointing," by the editor of Attitude magazine.
