David Beckham has opened up about the annoying habits that his wife, Victoria Beckham, can’t stand.
The 47-year-old footballing legend, who has been married to the former Spice Girl since 1999, was talking to Gary Neville about his family life when he made the admission.
During the candid conversation as part of 29 Questions, Beckham opened up about some of the habits that get on his wife’s nerves. However, he was also quick to cheekily point out some of her flaws as well.
“I’ve got this [clears throat], she doesn’t love that... I’ve not always done it, maybe for the last 15 years,” Beckham explained.
However, the dad of four also quickly turned the topic onto some of the bad habits that his fashion designer wife had.
“There’s probably a couple of other things that I do that annoy her, to be honest. I’m very clean and she’s not,” he went on.
“As in, I’m tidy and she’s not”, before adding: “she washes, from time to time.”
During their conversation, Beckham also addressed claims that his wife had dressed him in recent years.
He added: “People always thought Victoria had a big influence over what I was wearing or hairstyles or tattoos. I always made the decision of wearing a full leather outfit or full denim outfit. I loved fashion.”
Posh and Becks first met each other way back in 1997, when they crossed paths at the Manchester United Players’ lounge. The smitten couple went on to marry in 1999 and have been quite the power-couple ever since.
Reflecting upon their first meeting, Ms Beckham wrote a letter to herself in British Vogue about the moment: “It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge – although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy.
“While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage – you are the famous one.) And he has such a cute smile. You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you. He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.)”
The couple - who are proud parents to Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17 and Harper, 10 - also had more cause to celebrate either this year when they marked their eldest son’s wedding.
