David Beckham giggled as he awkwardly forgot wife Victoria Beckham when naming his favourite tattoos.
The former England and Manchester United footballer has more than 80 tattoos inked on his body, with sweet tributes to his four children - Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 10 - as well as his ex-Spice Girl wife, who he wed in 1999.
But he embarrassingly forgot Victoria when he was quizzed about his favourite designs, and had to meekly backpedal when he realised.
During an interview with former Man United teammate Gary Neville for his series The Overlap, David was quizzed about his most prized tattoo.
“It's hard to pick a favourite one to be honest. [My] kids' names,” he said, leaving out his wife of almost 24 years.
After a brief pause, David blurted out: “And Victoria's [name]. Throw that one in.”
Gary laughed as the iconic sportsman giggled and looked guilty, and he went on to reveal he has a whopping 81 tattoos on his body.
David also recalled an incident in which he was left stuck to a bed in Gary’s house, after having a design inked on his back in tribute to son Brooklyn.
“I probably have 81 [tattoos] now. Individual 81, yeah. [The first one] I had it done then I stayed at your house. No, that was the second one so the first one was Brooklyn on the bottom of my back,” David explained.
“The second one was the angel and I was sleeping at your house at the time and it stuck to the bed!” he laughed.
Most of David’s body is covered with designs, as he has two arm sleeves, as well as ink on his back, neck and legs.
On the left side of his neck, he has two tattoos for daughter Harper, with her name in cursive below the words “Pretty Lady”.
On the back of his neck is Romeo’s name, below a crucifix with wings, and Brooklyn’s nickname “Buster” is also etched on his neck.
He’s also got a large angel on a crucifix on his spine, with Romeo’s name at the top, followed by Cruz halfway down his back, and Brooklyn on his lower back.
He’s also got Victoria’s name tattooed in cursive on his hand, beside a hummingbird and the words “My Love”, and on his finger is the number 99, which is the year he married his wife.
“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” is etched on his arm in another tribute to Victoria, as well as her name in Sanskrit lettering, next to the phrase “Forever By Your Side”.
