David and Victoria Beckham's 'unusual addition' to their £7m country retreat

David and Victoria Beckham have made an unusual installation to their £7 million Cotswolds home.

The football legend 47, and fashion designer, 48, have introduced an outdoor toilet to their property so their friends can avoid walking from the lake to their mansion in Oxfordshire.

An insider told The Sun: "David and Victoria love holding parties near their lake but it became tiring having to traipse back and forth to the house to use the loo when the drinks were flowing.

"David asked the architect to design the wood-built toilet block behind the wild kitchen. As toilet breaks go, it's a lovely place to spend a few moments in the fresh air with the sounds of birdsong."

David and Victoria, who are proud parents to Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11, usually spend every Christmas together as a family in the Cotswolds and frequently enjoy their time there with famous friends.

The wooden outhouse is reportedly situated near the Cotswolds property's ornamental lake and kitchen.

Since acquiring the property, the Beckhams have made a slew of home improvements. The property now boasts a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, swimming pool, and £50,000 safari tent on the grounds for entertaining guests.

The couple bought the home in 2017, but are apparently looking for a new countryside home.

It comes after reports the number of cars driving past to go to Soho Farmhouse has doubled in two years following an expansion of the venue.

A source close to the couple said: "David and Victoria adore their barn and they absolutely love Great Tew, but the traffic and noise that comes from it has made it very difficult to live there."

"They love going to the Cotswolds and they also enjoy spending time at Soho Farmhouse, but they think it’s time to find another property to spend their weekends in, just not too far away."

The source added: "It's such a shame — so much love has gone into that house and they got it just how they wanted it."
